With nearly 15 years of shipping experience, we’ve refined our process to balance cost to the customer and the care needed to ensure our products arrive safely. We are proud to have a less than a 2% package damage rate.

When it comes to accessories, we want to be upfront about why shipping may cost more. Many of our add-ons are heavy, oversized, or uniquely shaped, and carriers charge extra for packages like these. We never inflate shipping prices, what you see at checkout reflects our actual cost to get your accessory to you safely.

How Accessory Shipping Is Calculated 

Accessory shipping is calculated at checkout. Some items may have higher-than-expected shipping rates due to weight, size, or the need for protective packaging. At Roost & Root, we’re committed to offering the lowest shipping cost possible while still ensuring your order arrives undamaged and ready to install.

Small & fragile accessories: Medium padded envelope
Medium accessories: Large plastic mailer
Larger accessories: Custom-made packaging or a large rectangular box (58″ × 26″ × 8″)
Feeders: Ship fully assembled; package length varies from ~30″ to ~48″
Waterers: Some ship fully assembled, larger waterers will ship in parts with necessary assembly materials included; package length varies from ~50″ to ~100″
Roof Upgrades, Sun Shades & Run Extensions: Large rectangular box (58″ × 26″ × 8″)—These ship as panelized cedar pieces and are large and require sturdy packaging
